Looks like a cool build and a tight schedule!  I will be watching for updates on this one!  I would be pretty cool to have updates of him during the UA if that would be possible!?! ???

Seems like Moab Offroad has been getting a lot of cool projects (and publicity) the last 2 years - - congrats!!!

Yeah the ultimate adventure is what sparked the "I'm asking all of you build" in the Ask Max section  http://moab-offroad.net/smf/index.php?topic=140.0. (http://moab-offroad.net/smf/index.php?topic=140.0.)  You and I have had that conversation though.   ;)

Max and team,  It looks really good so far.  So with the 5-hr Energy drink become a new sponsor of yours with all the long hours and late nights?  You need some pep in your step  :P

Thank again for the updates!  And as you learned from Ian a 10 hr day makes for about a 1-2 minutes of video.

Scruffy no more - - after I seen that ugly ass beard on camera I went home and shaved - - LOL!

The high lift jeep is coming along real good.  The rear 4 link is pimp - - I like what you guys did to keep the upper link out of the tub/crossmember.

Keep up the great work - - can't wait to see this rig done and on the Ultimate Adventure (even though I am kind of jealous that they never even gave me a phone call after submitting my application)LOL>>>>>>

WOW I can't believe how low the roofline is on that thing with 37's !! I love it.

That's what I want to accomplish with the LJ Max. No setting 5ft off the ground and having to swing out of a tree to get in.  ;)

I can't wait to see how that does on slippery sidehills.

Well, here we are.  Jeeps are never done, but I think that this one is ready for the week long "Ultimate Adventure" trip with Petersen's 4 Wheel and Offroad Magazine.  I can speak for myself and the guys at the shop that was a LONG 11 DAYS!!! I think I've personally got about 180 hrs. into this build not including all of the guys that work for me.  I owe Doug, Andrew, and Lucas a HUGE THANK YOU for putting in the extra time and dealing with MY stress lol!!!  These fine gentleman are my co-workers, my best friends, and my family.  These builds wouldn't happen without their help, dedication and support.  I also want to thank a few friends that helped out on this build after hours, Benny "D", SeeJaysTJ, Big "D", Ethan and High Pockets.  Thank god you all stopped by after hours to keep me hydrated, feed and motivated, this build was fun but exhausting.  ;D  I hope everyone enjoyed this build and the videos, there's more to come.  Thanks again to Austin and everyone at Hi-Lift for giving us the opportunity to build this Jeep!!!

Max, thanks for letting me come "play Jeep" as my wife puts it.  It's really satisfying to see it drive off.  And it's going to be even cooler to see it on the Ultimate Adventure, crawling at full flex while the crazies with rockwells and 44" tires struggle.  Good luck, Austin!!! It was fun working on your Jeep!  And congratulations, Max; another outstanding monster from your garage. ;)

Just got an update from Austin. The Rear Locker started acting up so they welded the spider gears in it, the rear wheel lug nut were backing off so they tack welded a couple of those, the Warn trans. skid plate is bent, and they laid the Jeep on its side!!!  :o :o  I'm  not sure where there at but he said they were driving about 400 miles today!

Well I talked to Austin last night and they broke some steering and the rear locker.   So they went to  quadratrac and bought a super 44 kit and got help from Chris Durham installing it.  Kelly and I just flew into Cleveland now on our way to to get the Hi-Lift truck and trailer. From there we're gonna mosey our way to the end point to pick up Austin and Robbie. We'll keep ya posted with pics and videos!  ;D

Wow what a trip indeed!!!  I just wanted to tell everyone that Hi-Lift made it through the entire trip WITHOUT ANY FAILURES ON THE WORK THAT MOAB OFFROAD DID!!! WHOO HOO! They had some locker issues, broke steering, and had some rear wheel spacer issues.  That's all.... 800 + miles later Kelly and I picked them up in VA.  Here are some more pics and video's.

Here's a video with Tim Hardy.  He drove this sammy all the way from the west coast to do the UA!!!

I don't know what provider you have but with Dish it was only $2.00-$3.00 extra per month to get the Outdoor Channel.

Hey Max, I just read through this build for the first time.  Nice job, I like the low center of gravity with the 37s.  I like that LOD rear bumper too, if I was planning to run my spare off the bumper I think that would be the one.  Cool build, I always liked watching the Ultimate Adventure on TV and following it in the mags.
