But, in just a few weeks Max gets me for a whole 24hrs for the drive to Moab. I know he is really, really excited. I'm not sure why he says we need to take so much Nyquil with us, but I've gotten together all kinds of fun road-trip games we're gonna play!   Grin

so here are some more updates.  I never did any body protection on the CJ and it ended up like this.  Shocked



So on this Jeep I'm using Gen-Right alum. corner guards and body protection.





The theme of this build is to have a daily driveable, affordable Jeep on 37's.  I loved the Viking top on my TJ http://moab-offroad.net/smf/index.php?topic=281.msg1701#msg1701  So I'm gonna retro-fit one on this YJ.  We made a ft. roll cage to accomodate the TJ door surrounds and I had a little helper with the cooler mount, I mean removable cargo basket.  Grin





this is one of the rack mounts before welding.



Thanks to High Pockets and Seejaystj for helping hold and measure the roll cage crap.  Wink









also got some OMF wheel bling.   Shocked

Those TJ soft door uppers with YJ hard doors? Some people say it a TJ top on a YJ can't be done because of the difference of angles on the windshield frames. Either way nice work getting it to fit.  Wink

EDIT: I used to have some good pictures of this thing from the Toys for Tots run in front of your banner, but my computer fried soo yeah. Sad Wish I still had my YJ on these nice days. Oh well,

Okay so here's a lil catch up.  The shanco roll cage was welded to the floor  Shocked  so after Andrew and I cut out the floor plates we found rust HOLES in the floor that needed to be patched.  This is after we patched the floor.



Here Jeff is cleaning the floor plates for paint.   Grin





Since we had to change the rake of the windshield frame to work with the TJ upper doors Lucas replaced the cowl gasket.

Thank GOD for KELLY if it weren't for her and A LOT of friends this rig wouldn't make it to EJS!!!
