Don't see anything on here about the new "Dirty Turtle" park starting up in Bedford, Ky. It used to be a ATV park but is under new ownership and they are setting up Jeep type trails. It's only about 60 miles from Louisville a few miles north of I-71 and 421 intersection.

Basically, as I understand it.....the local politics got so tied up in law suits and technical zoning give and take that it was obvious that no one was going to be able to operate an OFF road park there. So much of the rumors surrounding Joe Lawson seem to stem from some locals doing their best to sabotage his plans. With no end to the resistance from a few landowners and the Zoning board growing weary of the conflict draining resources, Joe decided to walk away from H&H. An effort buy some individual off-road enthusiasts and the landowner to get the State to work with the owner to keep the farm as a no-charge State off road park was thwarted by the fact that the farm property deed pretty much limited the land use to agriculture only with no exceptions. State wanted the county Zoning to ease the deed restrictions but the County wanted the state to be responsible for any landowner-citizen challenges but State doesn't want to buy a pig-in-a-poke. So that plan is pretty much dead in the water now and probably will never see the light of day.

Dirty Turtle is very similar to H&H in land configuration and geologic makeup. Seems that the trails are going to be similar if not better and this county has no zoning, already has a motocross club next to DTOR, the neighbors love the idea of a off-road park and better yet, the county zoning and local governments welcome Dirty Turtle

Opening day went great. Bunches of rigs there. The limited slip you guys put in and the Aussie I put in with my almost worn out 235 x 15 tires did much better than I hoped for.
